Hello everyone! This is Matheus, of the 2022 generation of Tokimeki Taiko Club members!

On last Monday, we had the pleasure of performing in the “Imagine the 海外“, which is an event where there are exhibitions, performances and booths to display and spread the culture of the countries of origin of the students of Tsukuba University! It is an important event to promote cultural exchange, integration among international and Japanese students, and internationalization of the university community!

Thus, we were very happy to be able to be able to spread a little of the Japanese culture to the international students, by performing two songs on the Taikos! We performed “Shake” and “Festa”, and this time it was performed by only the 2022 and 2023 generations of the Taiko Club. Everyone is doing their best to play just as well as our senior and former members! (In fact, our former Club Leader came to watch us, which was really nice ☺️)

There were not many people in the audience in the beginning, maybe because we performed before the lunch break, but more and more people were coming gradually, and it made me sort of nervous at some point 😣 I was also in charge of doing the MC in English, and I hope everyone managed to understand me clearly!

Thanks everyone for coming to see us perform on that day! It was really fun, and I am looking forward to perform there again! 🔥

皆さんこんにちは！22代のマテウスです！

１２月１１日(月)に、「Imagine the 海外」というイベントで演奏させていただきました。このイベントでは、筑波大学生の出身国の文化を広めるための展示や、演奏、ワークショップ、ブースなどがありました！これは文化交流、留学生と日本人学生との交流、大学コミュニティの国際化の促進をするために毎年行われているイベントです！

短い時間でしたが、和太鼓で日本の文化を留学生に伝えることができてとても嬉しかったです！「Shake」と「Festa」の2曲を演奏しました。今回は22代と23代だけでの演奏でした。塾生は先輩たちと同じくらい素晴らしい演奏ができるように日々の練習を頑張っています！（ちなみに、元塾長が見に来てくれて、本当に嬉しかったです ☺️）

お昼休みに演奏したこともあって、最初はお客さんが少なかったのですが、だんだんお客さんが増えてきて、なんだかドキドキしてしまいました 😣　英語でのMCも任せられたのですが、皆さんにMCがきちんと伝わったでしょうか？伝わっていたら嬉しいです！

見に来てくれた皆さん、ありがとうございました！本当に楽しかったです！またこのイベントで演奏できることを楽しみにしています！ 🔥
