Hello everyone! This is Matheus, of the 2022 generation of Tokimeki members!
On October 24th, we had the opportunity to perform once again at the farewell party for the Summer Research Program (SRP) 2024, a 3-week research program for medical students. There were both foreign and Japanese students present, and since many of them could not understand Japanese very well, we had to communicate in English. I was in charge of the MC and kicking off the taiko hands-on experience event.
We performed three songs: “Queen,” “Festa,” and “Irodori“, after which we began the hands-on experience. Initially, we thought there would only be about ten students participating in the hands-on, so we were quite surprised by the large number of participants. We had to adjust our plans on the spot, and I was in charge of teaching the first group how to play the taikos. It was my first time teaching in that way, and I did feel lost at some point, but in the end everything went smoothly and I believe everyone had a great time! 💪
I find it inspiring that these students are dedicating themselves to learning the skills and abilities necessary to saving lives and helping others. I really hope they enjoyed our performance and that we helped them finish up the program in a memorable way! ☺️🎉
It was my second time performing for the SRP, I will be looking forward to perform for them again in the future!

皆さんこんにちは！ 22代のマテウスです！
10月24日、医学サマーリサーチプログラム（SRP）2024のフェアウェルパーティーで演奏させていただきました。この3週間の研究プログラムには、海外からの学生と日本の学生が参加しており、日本語を理解できない方もいたため、主に英語でコミュニケーションを取りました。僕はMCと太鼓の体験会を担当しました。
僕たちはQueen、Festaと彩の3曲を演奏して、その後太鼓の体験会を開始しました。体験参加者は10人ほどと思っていたのですが、それ以上にたくさんの学生が参加してくれました。その場で計画を調整し、僕は最初のグループに太鼓の体験を指導する役目を担いました。そういうふうに指導するのは初めてだったため、少し戸惑うこともありましたが、最終的には無事に進行でき、皆さんに楽しんでいただけたと思います！💪
このプログラムに参加する学生の皆さんが、人命救助のための技術や知識を身につけようとすることに感心します。僕たちの演奏を楽しんでいただけたなら、そしてプログラムの良い思い出の一部になっていれば嬉しいです！☺️🎉
僕はSRPでの演奏は今回が2回目でしたが、今後もまたこのイベントで演奏できることを楽しみにしています！
